D. Lawless Hardware is a division of D. Lawless Companies.
D. Lawless Companies is a diverse group of small businesses: D.
Lawless Hardware, D. Lawless Wholesale, & Tru-Vex Glass. D.
Lawless Wholesale & Tru-Vex Glass operate as separate entities
from D. Lawless Hardware and have their own respective operating
policies and procedures.
D. Lawless Hardware is an importer and
distributor of cabinet and furniture hardware. It's products
include knobs, pulls, hinges, slides, hooks, screws, fasteners, and
wood trim used by furniture manufacturers. A large part of this
business is mail order, although many of the local furniture
builders also use our hardware. D. Lawless is a Master Distributor
for Liberty Hardware.
D. Lawless Wholesale is a product sales company
retaining production arrangements with many small manufacturers. D.
Lawless Wholesale is comprised of three main departments: Furniture
- "Smalls" - Hardware.
The furniture department carries a wide range of
items in various wood species, but its focus is on solid oak
furniture. Tables, chairs, bedrooms, chinas, hutches, washstands,
curios, and occasional tables are some of the items carried in
stock ready for pickup. Amish and locally produced furniture
comprises 90 percent of sales.
The "smalls" department has antique
reproductions, glassware, and collectible merchandise in a wide
variety (Coca-Cola, John Deere). Items in this department, as in
the furniture department are both foreign and domestically
produced. Most of the glassware in this department is American made
by Smith Glass and other long-established companies. Many pieces
are cast in old original moulds from the 1920's - 1970's.
Leaded-glass lamps, bronzes, cast iron pieces, and many other items
are imported.
D. Lawless Wholesale customers are furniture
stores, antique shops, auctions, and flea markets.
Tru-Vex Glass Company is a glass fabrication
company producing bent (concave and convex) glass panels and glass
shelving primarily for furniture trade. Tru-Vex produces
replacement glass for antique furniture, picture frames, etc. These
glass products are used by both local and distant furniture
manufacturers. Tru-Vex is also a distributor for Fletcher-Terry
glass tools and equipment, as well as a sub-distributor of Paslode
pneumatic nail guns and supplies.
